Sharjah Transport is considered as an active member in many international associations dedicated to public transport activities such as:

	International Association of Public Transport
	Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicles Association ANGVA

Through the membership with these international associations, Sharjah Public Transport Corporation identifies the best international practices in transportation area and exchanges experience with developed countries, through its participation in the conferences and exhibitions and encouraging its employees to involve in the organized training courses and workshops.

STC has also hosted some of the international association of public transport activities such as:

• Sharjah Public Transport Network Preparatory Workshop, March 2005
• Tendering in Public Transport in the MENA region workshop, January 2006
• Second meeting of Buses Specifications, November 2008
